Legal Framework for Transfer Services in Seychelles

The National Taxi Association of Seychelles enforces strict regulations to ensure that all transfer services comply with local transport laws. This policy applies to all entities providing transportation services in Seychelles.

Scope of Policy

This policy covers transfer services provided by or on behalf of:

Hotels and resort establishments
Guest houses and vacation rentals
Airbnb and short-term accommodation providers
Car hire and rental companies
Overseas online platforms and ride-sharing services
Any other entity arranging passenger transportation

Key Policy Requirements

Taxi-Only Transfers

All transfer services must be provided exclusively by licensed taxi operators. Omnibuses, private vehicles, and unlicensed operators are prohibited from providing transfer services.

Licensed Operators

All taxi operators must hold valid licenses from the Seychelles Licensing Authority and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Insurance Coverage

All vehicles used for transfers must maintain valid insurance coverage and meet vehicle safety standards.

Driver Qualifications

All drivers must be properly licensed, vetted, and comply with the Code of Conduct/Ethics for Taxi Drivers.

Compliance and Enforcement

The National Taxi Association of Seychelles, in coordination with the Seychelles Licensing Authority, actively monitors compliance with these policies. Non-compliance may result in:
